Welcome to the Official Chuck Yeager Web Log!

As you might have already guessed, this blog is the place to post comments, anecdotes, reflections, or anything else that might invite a discussion centered on the life and/or career of Brig. Gen. Charles E. "Chuck" Yeager.

So why a Chuck Yeager blog? Besides my knee-jerk response of "Why not?" it is my hope that anyone having an interest in the General or his accomplishments will benefit from this interactive exchange of information. Have a question, thought or comment? Post it here. I guarantee this is one subject I never get tired of talking -- or reading -- about.

As a professional writer and former journalist who has spent the past two decades immersed in anything that did, does or will have something to do with General Chuck Yeager, it is my pleasure to bring you this official forum.

Be sure to also visit the General's official website at www.chuckyeager.com!

Help kick off the campaign to give Gen. Yeager another star!
E-mail your U.S. Senators and Representatives today and tell them to vote for authorizing President Bush to give General Yeager a second star!

While Chuck Yeager's accomplishments may have been significant at the time, so have the accomplishments been of many other americans. I have been in a posion to know Mr. Yeager and many people who have spent time with him. His deplorable nature as a human being, narcisist, liar, etc. etc. etc. take away from any accolades that he should be offered as a pilot. I am hard-pressed to think of a more awful role model or hero figure for any person young or old. I have many many stories about Mr. Yeager, but shall not spread too much dirty laundry. Take my word for it, the guy is not American Material. Find another hero.

I tried getting a model airplane signed from him.
He was a total jerk. Truly a disappointment.
